Delve head first into a mystical cave, meet the recreations of ancient beings and fight to retrieve the Book of The Everlasting.
Book of The Everlasting was made for an assignment in our first year at LBS Gothenburg. It was made over the span of five months and was a challenging but also very educational experience. We all learned a lot about working together in a group, the importance of scoping and just how much time it takes to finish a game.
The Book of The Everlasting received nominations in six out of eight categories at the LBS Game Awards 2023 and claimed prizes for both Best Concept Art and Best 2D Graphics.
Our graphics were made by:

Known bugs:
1. Sometimes the player gets stuck on the tilemap (having the appearance of the player falling endlessly).
2. At times, the music abruptly starts at maximum volume before gradually fading in.
3. Occasionally, there is a lag spike during the start of the Charge boss's final phase.
4. Shooting the final boss results in a delay before he transitions to the next phase.
